Staying Stronger, Longer

Our goal is to help our patients enjoy their best possible level of physical health. In collaboration with Aegis Therapies, we help them get better, faster and stay stronger, longer through therapeutic programs.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy can improve muscle strength and coordination following injury or illness, as well as help control or alleviate acute and chronic pain. Our therapists work closely with physicians and the nursing staff to develop an appropriate treatment program.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps people who, through injury or illness, have lost some of their ability to perform important life functions and ordinary activities. We create individualized treatment plans and prescribe assistive devices to improve the quality of patients’ daily living activities.

Speech Therapy

Our speech therapy incorporates physical exercises to strengthen the muscles used in speech, using speech drills to improve clarity, and incorporating sound-production practice to improve articulation. We also provide cognitive training and methods for communicating with the hearing impaired.

Joint Replacement Therapy

We use a full spectrum of customized joint replacement therapy treatments including pre-operative education, pain management, physical and occupational therapy, and therapeutic recreation programs. We also evaluate the home environment to ensure that recovery can continue effectively and without interruption.

Pain & Wound Management

We are proud to have been one of only eight skilled nursing companies selected to participate in the National Pain Collaborative, which emphasizes creative pain management approaches such as exercise, physical therapy, music and aroma therapy, hydrotherapy, and massage. Additionally, our comprehensive wound care program uses the latest in wound management techniques to help residents heal faster.

Lymphedema Care

We’re equipped to treat lymphedema obstruction through a range of therapies that includes exercises and stretching to reduce swelling caused by blocks in the lymphatic system.

VitalStim & eSWALLOW

Patients who experience dysphagia, a condition that causes difficulty swallowing, can benefit from VitalStim, the only FDA-approved device for stimulating the muscles response for swallowing, and eSWALLOW. With these devices, we offer non-invasive therapies to treat dysphagia and offer patients relief when swallowing.

Vestibular Therapy

We treat vestibular disorders that cause dizziness and difficulty balancing with vestibular rehabilitation therapy, a specialized form of physical therapy, to improve stability and restore daily living activities.
